point of departure; 40-50 ft. (13-16 m.) A real "garden" of coral
in a shallow spot with mild to no current and large variety of marine life;
"Garden beds" of coral, lined up one after another, a very pleasant
dive, good visibility, excellent for beginners.
LAS LOMAS- Pristine
waters, 10 minutes from point of departure. 25-30 ft. (8-10 m.).On one side
white sand and on the other side "the hills". Large barracudas,
eagle rays and sea turtles can often be seen here. Current varies from strong
to mild. 25-30 ft. (8-10 m.).
NITO'S PLACE- Ten
minutes away from point of departure. Lots of short caves to swim through
in shallow waters. Excellent for beginners testing their buoyancy skills.
Immense coral heads reaching to the surface. No current. A very colorful
place. Site has mooring line.
LA PARED- Ten
minutes away from point of departure. 30ft. (10 m.) Huge wall reach to the
surface. Excellent for beginners testing their buoyancy skills. Immense

(20-22 m.) deep, mild current, good visibility we often see large varieties
of fish life, rays, eels, nurse sharks here.
" BRIDGES"- Natural
coral bridge, 30 feet long at 60 ft. (30 m.), 15 minutes from
point of departure; safe to go through, often large fish inside; slightly
damaged by hurricane Wilma.
EL DORADO- Drift
dive in a strong current, 65-70 ft. (21-23 m.) deep. Opportunity to see
great variety of fish because of so much territory covered. Lots of moray
eels, large sponges,excellent visibility. 20 minutes from point of departure.
For divers with minium 15 dives.
THE SHIPWRECK "Juan Escutia
30 minutes from point of departure. Used to be 85'
deep now at 90' thanks to hurricane Wilma. This 120 foot navy ship, was
submerged specifically for the purpose of creating more area for the reef
to grow and as a great place for divers to visit. Safe to swim through from
one end to the other. 3 levels of penetration. We often see large schools
of fish, eagle rays, sharks, turtles, giant fish, and many types of amazing
new coral growing in Puerto Morelos newest dive site.
First deck at 65' bottom deck at 90' Must be calm seas to visit because
of strong currents. Mooring line runs from the surface to a large cannon
on first deck of the ship. Spectacular marine life with 6 years of coral
growing on the ship. Advanced divers only!
THE SHARK CAVES- Drift
dive in a strong current, 95-120 ft. (29-35 m.) deep. Advanced divers only!
Navigate back and forth across hilly terrain in search of the sharks that
hide from the strong current in cave pockets. Great opportunity to see a
wide variety as we will cover alot of area in the swift currents. 15 minutes
from point of departure. For divers with minium 25 dives.
PUNTA MAROMA- 45
minutes away (halfway to Playa del Carmen). Advanced tech divers only! 130
ft. deep.Drift wall dive. Large animals, large everything. Extra charge
for this site.
